We hopped aboard one of the open-sided abraa (water taxis) that crisscross Dubai Creek, we got on at Deira and went across to Bur Dubai. It was a really good way to see the normal hustle and bustle of everyday life on the water and to see some the city buildings from a different perspective.
It is cheap too! 1 Dirham (30 cents) each way.
It only costs 50 Dirham to hire and abra for an hour for sole use, so we will give that a go on our next trip up to Dubai.
