Fulla - the Arabic Barbie

Yeah, we wondered what she was fulla, but the Fulla is a Jasmine like flower in the Middle East and Fulla dolls are on toy shop shelves where Barbie would be in other countries. Barbie was banned because she promoted values not shared by Arabic society. Fulla was created as an alternative for Barbie to reflect Muslim values.

For the Saudi market, she was dressed in a black abaya and head scarf, but no veil in other markets; because the product development didn't want to "go to extremes." For more liberal countries, Fulla has a white scarf and pastel coat. Her outdoor clothes have since become more colorful, but her shoulders are always covered and the skirt always falls below her knees.

Fulla has two friends, Yasmeen and Nada, as well as a little brother and sister. An older protective brother is in development for her, as well as a teacher and doctor Fulla, which are two careers that Fulla's creators believe to be respectable. Fulla will not have a boyfriend.

Animated commercials display Fulla's life, such as showing the doll saying her prayers as the sun rises, baking a cake to surprise her friend, or reading a book at bedtime.

As one of Fulla's commercials has warned, "When you take Fulla out of the house, don't forget her new spring abaya!

There is a new website that when is done loading (It is online now) and it is for charity. Every week I will add more to www.muslimdolls.com and keep checking back and by June 30th I should have 60 different types of Fulla at least three times more variety and choices than the fulla website.plus i own many Muslim doll collections and sell the Most Muslim dolls in the world.I will by the end of June inshallah have 550 all types of different Muslim dolls, 350 different Muslim doll outfits with a hijab of course. and 250 approximately, rare, handmade, hard to find, fair trade etc/ and more. We believe Play is serious business and young minds are impressionable. Religious leaders and other professionals are starting to realize the powerful impact of role models. Of Course, Allah, Muhammad SAW and Islam are the most important role models, then it is the parents and other elders of the community. But would you believe for our young ladies it is their dolls and dressing them up that is a powerful role model for our younger sisters. So if we give our daughters no matter what religion appropriate clothes and dolls to they view themselves through play and with these modest role models she will grow up to be a pious, confident, Strong woman.
