The spice souq is tiny with really only one street with little stores with sacks out the front brimming with herbs and spices. There is a lot of spices you wouldn't see at home - saffron, frankincense and rosewater all feature predominantly.
I don't know the quality of teh saffron and whether it's real, as it seems amazing that one thread is so expensive in Australia and there are sacks of it over here, but we will keep checking it out.
